Meet Dr. Paul Lukawski, DDS
Dr. Paul Lukawski, DDS, is a native Chicagoan and has been practicing dentistry in Chicago and the surrounding communities since 1989. Dr. Lukawski received his Bachelor of Science degree from DePaul University in 1985 and his Doctorate in Dentistry from Loyola University of Chicago in 1989. His first office was located in Chicago, where he practiced for 12 years. (1991-2003).
Dr. Lukawski opened Prairie Dental, Ltd. in 2001. He then practiced in both Chicago and Plainfield for two years. He has been exclusively practicing in Plainfield since 2003, when he and his wife Ellen (a nurse clinical specialist for Heartland Cardiology at Provena St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois) made Plainfield their place of residence.
Dr. Lukawski takes the time to listen to your concerns and explains all of your treatment options. He believes that patients are entitled to all of the information needed in order to make good choices about their oral health. This approach is based upon a personal commitment to the welfare of his patients.
Julie is one of our Dental Hygienists with 32 years of experience dedicated to delivering high-quality preventive and periodontal care, as well as patient education. She graduated from Prairie State College in 1994 with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene and later earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Governors’ State University. In addition to working in private practice, she has served as a clinical Dental Hygiene instructor, where she enjoyed mentoring future professionals in the field. She is certified in Dental Laser Therapy, Local Anesthesia and CPR- staying committed to providing safe, modern and personalized care for patients. Throughout her career, she has been a member of the American Dental Association and Illinois Dental Hygienists’ Association. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her husband, who is a Pediatrician, their two young Labrador
Retrievers, and exploring new places whenever she can.
Jill is one of our Dental Hygienists. She brings over 23 years of experience to our practice. She graduated from Harper College in 2003 with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene and later went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Healthcare Leadership from National Lewis University. Jill is proud to be a past president of the North Suburban Dental Hygienists Society. She is certified in Local Anesthetic and CPR and is skilled in providing Periodontal Therapy with the use of Laser Antimicrobial Irrigation. She attributes her love of dentistry to being around it her whole life. Her father and mother worked in dentistry for 40 years. In her free time, Jill enjoys spending time with her husband of 21 years and her two children. She also enjoys traveling, especially to the beach and Walt Disney World, and cheering her children on at their sporting events.
Jean is our dental assistant. She brings 26 years of experience to our practice. She graduated from Northwestern Business College with an Associate’s degree. She has experience with dental assisting and front desk receptionist. She is certified in CPR and is passionate about patient education and comfort. In her free time Jean enjoys spending time with her husband of 23 years, 2 teenage boys and her dog Sassy. She also enjoys reading, cheering her boys on at their sporting events and adding to her Snoopy collection.
